Ian Spence is an writer, prolific gardener, and expert plantsman based in Rutland. He worked for many years in Barnsdale, Rutland, preparing weekly projects for the BBC’s Gardener’s World programme. Ian ceaselessly broadcasts on radio, in addition to writing and lecturing widely all the way through the country.
